This web site is intended for current, former, and prospective members or flight instructors of the Pompano Beach Flying Club, and any others who have a current or potential business relationship with the Pompano Beach Flying Club. The mission of this web site is to provide information that is mostly unavailable on the Club’s own web site.

The Pompano Beach Flying Club’s Legal Name

The Club’s history is described on the Governance and History pages on this web site, but many may be surprised to learn the Club’s legal name is actually the “Pompano Senior Squadron Flying Club, Inc.” This dates back to the Club’s inception in 1970 when they were affiliated with the Civil Air Patrol. However, around 2007, the Club began “doing business as” (“DBA”) the “Pompano Beach Flying Club,” but did not change its legal name. Depending on the nature of its communications, the Club alternates between using these two names, which can be confusing.  However, remember the legal name is used in filings with federal, state, and local agencies, so you should include “Pompano Senior Squadron Flying Club” in such searches. More information about the Club’s name, origin, and history is available on the Governance and History pages on this web site.
