Maybe you’re like us: We joined the Pompano Beach Flying Club for the fun of flying airplanes. We just want to enjoy life. But when others threaten that enjoyment, it is important to efficiently identify and resolve the issues, just like a good Pilot in Command.
What Happened to the Club?
In February this year, after “lively debate,” the Club membership elected a new slate of leaders. Unfortunately for the membership, none of these new leaders had previously served in any Club leadership role. Since then, the membership has become unwitting passengers on an airplane that the Captain and crew have never flown before. The Club has lost the leadership experience and continuity it had enjoyed for 42 consecutive years. The new leaders promised to get the membership more involved in Club decisions and navigate toward clearer skies, but neither has happened. Instead, quite the opposite. It’s time for the membership to step in and regain control before it’s too late:

This web site is brought to you with the Club’s best interests in mind to inform you about the Club’s history and recent events. We provide detailed insight and documentation regarding the Club’s history with information that isn’t on the Club’s web site. We’re certain the Club’s current leaders have never seen much of it before. Newly-informed members can now regain control of the Club before conditions become unrecoverable.
Even if you just want to fly airplanes, or maybe one of the new leaders is your buddy, we still recommend you visit the web site and take a good look around. Right now the Club is still flying, but it seems to be in a steady descent in stormy weather over hazardous terrain with inexperienced novices at the controls. It’s time to get informed, speak up, and use the power of your vote to get the Club climbing again toward clear skies.
